Common Eligibility

  1. Must have high school diploma or equivalent

  2. Must be able to pass or exceed the ILEA Exit Standards

  3. ILEA Tier 1 certification / College Degree preferred, but not required

  4. Must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment as a peace officer

  5. Must have vision correctable to at least 20/40

  6. No felony convictions and must be able to possess firearms

  7. No domestic battery convictions

  8. Must not have a history of narcotic/drug abuse
